I'm Ian Schwartz.
I’m a veteran, father, and lifelong public servant running to bring disciplined, accountable leadership back to Ohio.
My wife and I are raising our son, Atticus, here at home. Like many families, we feel the pressure of rising costs, expensive healthcare, and growing uncertainty about the future.
If elected as your State Representative, I will help families stay in their homes, raise their kids safely, and plan for the future with confidence.

My History.
My History.
My History.
I grew up in a working-class family in the Pocono Mountains. My dad was a welder and my mom stayed at home to raise our family. My parents taught me from a young age the values of hard work and service to others.
That's why, after the September 11th attacks, I immediately volunteered to serve in the United States Air Force. I became a Tactical Response Force leader protecting nuclear facilities and leading troops under pressure.
The military taught me the importance of discipline, accountability, and honest leadership.
After a medical retirement, I earned degrees in political science, philosophy, criminal justice, and legal studies.

Why I'm Running.
Why I'm Running.
Why I'm Running.
When I look at my son, I think about what kind of future he’ll grow up in. That’s why I’m running.
I want families to have more breathing room, more stability, and more confidence in the future. I will work to stop property tax spikes, keep utility costs predictable, protect local healthcare access, and strengthen emergency services.
All without taxing people out of their homes.
I will make sure development pays its fair share instead of burdening working families, and I'll always represent your voice in the statehouse.

Clermont County is growing, and that growth brings both opportunity and pressure.
If it’s handled well, growth can strengthen our communities. If it’s not, growth will drive up costs, strain our public services and leave families in the dark.
I'm here to lower costs and stop unfair tax breaks for developers. I'm here to protect our services, our parks, and our County's character. I'm here to ensure Clermont County puts its own families and businesses first.
I'm Joe Wessels, and I'm fighting for a Clermont that all families can call home.
