When can I vote?

Early in-person voting for the primary starts April 7, 2026 and ends May 4, 2026. Election Day is May 5, 2026. The polls are open from 6:30AM to 7:30PM on election day.

What's the best way to vote?

Voting in person is the best way to vote. Absentee and mail-in votes have a higher risk of being thrown out due to recent changes in election policy. For your vote to count, it's safest to vote in person. If you need help getting to the polls, get in touch: joe@wesselsforcommissioner.com.

Are mail-in votes valid?

Unfortunately, any mail-in votes received by the Board of Elections after Election Day are no longer valid. Because of budget cuts to the post office, it's not guaranteed that your mail will arrive before that deadline. Your vote won't be counted even if it's postmarked before the deadline. For your vote to count, it's safest to vote in person. If you need help getting to the polls, get in touch: joe@wesselsforcommissioner.com.

What do I need to register to vote?

You need to provide your full name, home address, date of birth, and one of the following: Ohio driver’s license number, Ohio state ID number, or the last four digits of your SSN. You can only register if you're a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day, not incarcerated, and have lived in Ohio for at least 30 days before the election.
